Sandhi Resolution Notes:
It refers to a traditional Purāṇic classification of creation into nine modes or stages. This verse highlights that the Puṣkara narration of that scheme is treated as a foundational teaching within the Purāṇa.
All three: a learned person is praised for reciting it to the twice-born (śrāvayet), while merit is also promised to one who listens (śṛṇuyāt) or reads/recites (paṭhet).
The verse states a phalaśruti (benefit statement): delight in Brahmaloka (the world of Brahmā) for an immense duration described as “a full hundred crores of kalpas.”
