गङ्गामाहात्म्य — The Greatness of the Gaṅgā
बभूव बलवान्धर्मी कृतज्ञो गुणवान्सुधीः । धर्मज्ञः सोऽपि सगरो मुनेरमिततेजसः । समित्कुशाम्बुपुष्पादि प्रत्यहं समुपानयत् ॥ १५ ॥
babhūva balavāndharmī kṛtajño guṇavānsudhīḥ | dharmajñaḥ so'pi sagaro muneramitatejasaḥ | samitkuśāmbupuṣpādi pratyahaṃ samupānayat || 15 ||
சகரனும் வலிமைமிக்கவன், தர்மநிஷ்டன், நன்றியுணர்வுடையவன், குணமிக்கவன், அறிவுடையவன்—தர்மத்தை அறிந்தவன்—ஆனான். மேலும் அளவற்ற தேஜஸுடைய முனிவருக்காக தினந்தோறும் சமித்து, குசை, நீர், மலர்கள் முதலியவற்றை கொண்டு வந்து அர்ப்பணித்தான்.
