Bhakti-Śraddhā-Ācāra-Māhātmya and the Commencement of the Mārkaṇḍeya Narrative
वटच्छदे शयानोऽभूत्सर्वशक्तिसमन्वितः । तस्मिन्स्थाने महाभागो नारायणपरायणः । मार्कंडेयः स्थिनस्तस्य लीलाः पश्यन्महेशितुः ॥ ४६ ॥
vaṭacchade śayāno'bhūtsarvaśaktisamanvitaḥ | tasminsthāne mahābhāgo nārāyaṇaparāyaṇaḥ | mārkaṃḍeyaḥ sthinastasya līlāḥ paśyanmaheśituḥ || 46 ||
வட்டமரத்தின் குடைநிழலில் சயனித்தபடி அவர் எல்லாச் சக்திகளாலும் நிறைந்தவரானார். அதே இடத்தில் நாராயணபராயணனான மகாபாக்கியர் மார்கண்டேய முனிவர், பரமேஸ்வரனின் லீலைகளைப் பார்த்துக்கொண்டே நிலைத்திருந்தார்।
