इति श्रीबृहन्नारदीयपुराणे पूर्वभागे प्रथमपादे सृष्टिभरतखण्डप्राशस्त्यभूगोलानां वर्णनं नाम तृतीयोऽध्यायः ॥ ३ ॥

iti śrībṛhannāradīyapurāṇe pūrvabhāge prathamapāde sṛṣṭibharatakhaṇḍaprāśastyabhūgolānāṃ varṇanaṃ nāma tṛtīyo'dhyāyaḥ || 3 ||

Translation

இவ்வாறு ஸ்ரீ ப்ருஹந்நாரதீய புராணத்தின் பூர்வபாகத்தின் முதல் பாதத்தில் ‘ஸிருஷ்டி வர்ணனை, பாரதகண்டத்தின் மகிமை, உலகப் புவியியல் வர்ணனை’ எனப்படும் மூன்றாம் அத்தியாயம் நிறைவுற்றது।
