Transliteration

dānaṃ pradattametasyāmanaṃtaphalamucyate | ūrjjaśukladvitīyāyāṃ yamo yamunayā purā || 18 ||

Translation

இந்நாளில் அளிக்கப்படும் தானம் முடிவில்லா பலனைத் தரும் என்று கூறப்படுகிறது. ஊர்ஜ (கார்த்திக) சுக்ல த்விதீயையில் பழங்காலத்தில் யமன் யமுனையுடன் தொடர்புடையதாகச் சொல்லப்படுகிறது।
