नर्मवादी भविष्यामि जहि कोपं शुचिस्मिते शिरसा प्रणतश्चाहं रचितस्ते मयाञ्जलिः //

Transliteration

narmavādī bhaviṣyāmi jahi kopaṃ śucismite śirasā praṇataścāhaṃ racitaste mayāñjaliḥ //

Translation

நான் மென்மையாகவும் இனிய சொற்களாலும் பேசுவேன். ஓ தூய புன்னகையுடையவளே, கோபத்தை விடு. தலை வணங்கி உனக்கு प्रणாமம் செய்கிறேன்; உனக்காக அஞ்சலி கூப்பியுள்ளேன்.
