Adhyaya 92 — Devi’s Assurance of Protection and the Fruits of Reciting the Devi Mahatmyam
mama prabhāvāt siṃhādyā dasyavo vairiṇas tathā | dūrād eva palāyante smarataś caritaṃ mama ||

The text frames devotion as a force that reorganizes one’s environment: the devotee’s alignment with śakti is said to diminish hostile forces, encouraging steadfastness rather than panic.
Concluding efficacy statement (phalaśruti) to the Devi Mahatmyam; not a pancalakṣaṇa element.
Hostile forces ‘fleeing from afar’ suggests that when consciousness is established in Devi (śakti), negative tendencies lose proximity and immediacy; threats are ‘kept at a distance’ by inner sovereignty.
