Adhyaya 83 — The Slaying of Mahishasura’s Armies and the Final Death of Mahishasura
स छिन्नधन्वा विरथो हताश्वो हतसारथिः ।
अभ्यधावत तां देवीं खड्गचर्मधरोऽसुरः ॥
sa cchinnadhanvā viratho hatāśvo hatasārathiḥ | abhyadhāvata tāṃ devīṃ khaḍga-carmadharo 'suraḥ ||
அவனுடைய வில் உடைந்தது; தேர் சிதைந்தது; குதிரைகள் கொல்லப்பட்டன; தேரோட்டியும் வீழ்ந்தான். அப்போது வாள் மற்றும் கேடயம் ஏந்திய அந்த அசுரன் தேவியை நோக்கி நேராகப் பாய்ந்தான்.
