Adhyaya 83 — The Slaying of Mahishasura’s Armies and the Final Death of Mahishasura
देव्युवाच गरज गरज क्षणं मूढ मधु यावत्पिबाम्यहम् ।
मया त्वयि हतेऽत्रैव गर्जिष्यन्त्याशु देवताः ॥
devyuvāca garja garja kṣaṇaṃ mūḍha madhu yāvat pibāmy aham / mayā tvayi hate 'traiva garjiṣyanty āśu devatāḥ
தேவி கூறினாள்— “கர்ஜி, கர்ஜி சிறிதுநேரம், மூடனே! நான் இந்த மதுவை அருந்தும் வரை. நீ இங்கே என்னால் கொல்லப்பட்டபின், தேவர்கள் விரைவில் வெற்றிக் கர்ஜனை செய்வார்கள்.”
