सुमेधसस्तत्र देवास्तथा भूपतयो द्विज ।
वैकुण्ठश्चामिताभश्च चतुर्दश चतुर्दश ॥
sumedhasas tatra devās tathā bhūpatayo dvija | vaikuṇṭhaś cāmitābhaś ca caturdaśa caturdaśa ||
ஓ இருபிறப்பில் சிறந்தவரே! அங்கு தேவர்கள் ‘சுமேதஸர்’ என அழைக்கப்பட்டனர்; அதுபோல அரசர்களும். அவர்களில் வைகுண்டம் மற்றும் அமிதாபம்—இவை பதினான்கு, பதினான்கு என எண்ணிக்கையால் கூறப்பட்டன।
