मीनमेषौ द्विजश्रेष्ठ ! पादे पूर्वोत्तरे स्थितौ ।
कूर्मे देशास्तथर्क्षाणि देशेष्वेतेषु वै द्विज ॥
mīnameṣau dvijaśreṣṭha ! pāde pūrvottare sthitau / kūrme deśāstatharkṣāṇi deśeṣveteṣu vai dvija
ஓ இருபிறப்பில் சிறந்தவரே! மீனமும் மேஷமும் வடகிழக்குப் பாதத்தில் அமைந்துள்ளன. இவ்வாறு (அண்ட) கூர்மத்தில் பகுதிகளும் நக்ஷத்திரங்களும்—ஓ இருபிறப்பினரே—அந்தப் பகுதிகளுக்குள் பகுக்கப்பட்டு நிறுவப்பட்டுள்ளன.
