Adhyaya 46 — Cosmic Dissolution, the Emergence of Brahma, and the Measures of Time (Yugas, Manvantaras, and Brahma’s Day)
चत्वारि तु सहस्राणि वर्षाणां कृतमुच्यते ।
शतानि सन्ध्या चत्वारि सन्ध्यांशश्च तथाविधः ॥
catvāri tu sahasrāṇi varṣāṇāṃ kṛtam ucyate | śatāni sandhyā catvāri sandhyāṃśaś ca tathāvidhaḥ ||
கிருத (சத்ய) யுகம் நான்காயிரம் தெய்வ ஆண்டுகள் எனக் கூறப்படுகிறது. அதன் சந்த்யா நானூறு ஆண்டுகள்; சந்த்யாம்சமும் அதே அளவாகும்.
