जड उवाच एवं स्तुता तदा देवी विष्णोर्जिह्वा सरस्वती ।
प्रत्युवाच महात्मानं नागमश्वतरं ततः ॥
jaḍa uvāca evaṃ stutā tadā devī viṣṇorjihvā sarasvatī /
pratyuvāca mahātmānaṃ nāgamaśvataraṃ tataḥ
ஜடன் கூறினான்: இவ்வாறு போற்றப்பட்ட தேவியான—விஷ்ணுவின் நாவாகிய சரஸ்வதி—அப்போது மகாத்மா நாகன் அஸ்வதரனுக்கு பதிலளித்தாள்।
