बान्धवाश्च तथैच्छन्ति जीवितं गुणिनश्चिरम् ।
परिवादनिवृत्तानां दुर्गतेषु दयावताम् ।
गुणिनां सफलं जन्म संश्रितानां विपद्गतैः ॥
bāndhavāś ca tathā icchanti jīvitaṃ guṇinaś ciram | parivāda-nivṛttānāṃ durgateṣu dayāvatām | guṇināṃ saphalaṃ janma saṃśritānāṃ vipad-gataiḥ ||
உறவினரும் நற்குணவான் நீண்ட ஆயுள் வாழ வேண்டும் என விரும்புவர். பழிச்சொல்லைத் தவிர்த்து, துன்புற்றோர்க்கு இரக்கம் காட்டுவோரின் நற்குணப் பிறப்பு பயனுடையதாகிறது—ஏனெனில் அவர்கள் இடருற்றோர்க்கு ஆதரவாக நிற்கின்றனர்.
