अर्थिनां मित्रवर्गस्य विद्विषाञ्च पराङ्मुखः ।
यो न याति पिता तेन पुत्री माता च वीरसूः ॥
arthināṃ mitravargasya vidviṣāñ ca parāṅmukhaḥ | yo na yāti pitā tena putrī mātā ca vīrasūḥ ||
வேண்டுவோரிடமிருந்தும், தன் நண்பர் வட்டத்திலிருந்தும், பகைவரிடமிருந்தும் முகம் திருப்பி ‘புறப்பட’ாத தந்தைக்கு, வீரரைப் பெற்ற தாயும் மகளும் கூட நோக்கமற்றதாக, வெட்கத்தக்க விதத்தில் நிறைவேறாததாக ஆகின்றனர்.
