Adhyaya 13 — The Son’s Account of Hell and the Question of Unseen Sin

Sanskrit

याम्यश्च पुरुषो घोरो दण्डहस्तोऽशनिप्रभः ।

पुरतो दर्शयन् मार्गमिति एहिति वागथ ॥

Transliteration

yāmyaś ca puruṣo ghoro daṇḍahasto 'śaniprabhaḥ | purato darśayan mārgam iti ehi iti vāg atha

Translation

அப்போது யமனின் பயங்கர சேவகர், தண்டம் ஏந்தி, மின்னலைப் போல ஒளிர்ந்து, முன்னே சென்று வழி காட்டி ‘வா, வா’ என்று கூறினான்।
