भुक्तवत्सु द्विजेन्द्रेष यथावत् सम्प्रदापयेत् । वाचकं भरतश्रेष्ठ भोजयित्वा स्वलंकृतम्
bhuktavatsu dvijendreṣu yathāvat sampradāpayet | vācakaṃ bharataśreṣṭha bhojayitvā svalakṛtam, bharatabhūṣaṇa |
வைசம்பாயனர் கூறினார்—முதன்மை பிராமணர்கள் உணவு முடித்த பின், அவர்களுக்கு முறையாகத் தக்க தானங்களை அளிக்க வேண்டும். பின்னர், ஓ பரதசிரேஷ்டா, ஆடை அணிகலன்களால் அலங்கரிக்கப்பட்ட கதாவாசகரை மரியாதை செய்து, சிறந்த உணவால் போஜனம் அளிக்க வேண்டும்; அதன் பின் தானமும் மரியாதையும் அளித்து அவரைத் திருப்திப்படுத்துதல் உரியது.
