वाचको भरतमश्रेष्ठ व्यक्ताक्षरपदस्वर: | भविष्यं श्रावयेद् विद्वान् भारतं भरतर्षभ
vācako bharataśreṣṭha vyaktākṣarapadasvaraḥ | bhaviṣyaṃ śrāvayed vidvān bhārataṃ bharatarṣabha ||
ஓ பரதர்களில் சிறந்தவனே! ஓதுபவர் பண்டிதனாய், ஒவ்வொரு எழுத்தும் சொல்லும் ஸ்வரமும் தெளிவாக உச்சரித்து ‘பாரதம்’ கேட்கச் செய்ய வேண்டும்; ஓ பரதகுலச் சிங்கமே! அவன் ‘பவிஷ்யப் பர்வம்’ என்பதையும் (ஹரிவம்ச மரபின்படி) ஓத வேண்டும்.
