अध्याय २९७ — श्रेयः, धृति, दान-नियमाः
Welfare, Steadfastness, and Norms of Giving
विविधानां च भूतानां जड़मा: परमा नृप । जड़मानामपि तथा द्विपदा: परमा मता:
vividhānāṁ ca bhūtānāṁ jaṅgamāḥ paramā nṛpa | jaṅgamānām api tathā dvipadāḥ paramā matāḥ ||
மகாராஜா! பலவகை உயிரினங்களில் அசையும் (ஜங்கம) உயிர்களே உயர்ந்தவை எனக் கருதப்படுகின்றன; அந்த அசையும் உயிர்களிலும் இருகாலிகள்—மனிதர்கள்—மிக உயர்ந்தவர்கள் என மதிக்கப்படுகின்றனர்.
