इत्येतल्लोकनिर्माणं ब्रह्मणा विहितं पुरा । प्रजा: समनुवर्तन्ते स्वै: स्वै:ः कर्मभिरावृता:,पूर्वकालमें ब्रह्माजीने इस स्त्री-पुरुषस्वरूप जगत्की सृष्टि की थी। यहाँ समस्त प्रजा अपने-अपने कर्मोंसे आवृत होकर सुख-दुःखका अनुभव करती है
ity etal loka-nirmāṇaṃ brahmaṇā vihitaṃ purā | prajāḥ samanuvartante svaiḥ svaiḥ karmabhir āvṛtāḥ |
இவ்வாறு பழங்காலத்தில் பிரம்மா உலகங்களின் அமைப்பையும் ஒழுங்கையும் நிறுவினார். எல்லா உயிர்களும் தத்தம் கர்மங்களால் மூடப்பட்டவர்களாய், அதற்கேற்பச் சென்று சுகமும் துக்கமும் அனுபவிக்கின்றனர்.
