न यस्य विजयाकाडूभक्षी विषयं प्राप्प जीवति । यं द्ौन जहत: शब्दौ जीवमानं कदाचन

Transliteration

na yasya vijayākāṅkṣī viṣayaṁ prāpya jīvati | yaṁ droṇo jahataḥ śabdau jīvamānaṁ kadācana ||

Translation

தரிதராஷ்டிரன் கூறினான்— விரும்பிய பொருள்களைப் பெற்றபின்பும் வெற்றிக்கான பசியில் வாழாதவனை, அவன் உயிரோடு இருக்கும் வரை துரோணர் ஒருபோதும் கைவிடார்; உயிருள்ளபோதே அவர் எந்நேரமும் விட்டு விலகார்.
