ततः शिखण्डी गाड़ेयं युध्यमानं महाहवे । जघान बहुभिर्बाणै: सह गाण्डीवधन्चना
tataḥ śikhaṇḍī gāṅgeyaṁ yudhyamānaṁ mahāhave | jaghāna bahubhir bāṇaiḥ saha gāṇḍīvadhanvanā ||
அப்போது மகாபோர்க்களத்தில் போராடிக் கொண்டிருந்த காங்கேய பீஷ்மரை சிகண்டி—காண்டீவம் ஏந்திய அர்ஜுனனுடன் சேர்ந்து—பல அம்புகளால் துளைத்தான்.
