Vidura’s Message to Dhṛtarāṣṭra: Authorization for Dāna and Public Welfare (विदुरवाक्यम्—दानानुज्ञा)
वैशम्पायन उवाच इति ते तस्य तच्छुत्वा देवर्षेर्मधुरं वच: । सर्वे सुमनस: प्रीता बभूवु: स च पार्थिव:
vaiśampāyana uvāca — iti te tasya tac chrutvā devarṣer madhuraṃ vacaḥ | sarve sumanasaḥ prītā babhūvuḥ sa ca pārthivaḥ ||
வைசம்பாயனன் கூறினான்—அரசே! தேவर्षியின் அந்த இனிய சொற்களை கேட்டவுடன் அனைவரும் மனமகிழ்ந்தனர்; அரசன் துருதராஷ்டிரனும் பேரானந்தத்தில் நிறைந்தான்।
