Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa
Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
देवाश्व शप्ता रुद्राण्या प्रजोच्छेदे पुराकृते । न भविष्यति वो<पत्यमिति सर्वे जगत्पते
devāś ca śaptā rudrāṇyā prajocchede purākṛte | na bhaviṣyati vo 'patyam iti sarve jagatpate ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்— “ஜகத்பதே! முற்காலத்தில் நாங்கள் ருத்ராணியின் சந்ததியை அழித்தபோது, ருத்ராணி எல்லாத் தேவர்களையும் சபித்து— ‘உங்களுக்கு சந்ததி உண்டாகாது’ என்று கூறினாள்.”
