Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa
Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
सा वल्विना वार्यमाणा देवैरपि सरिद्वरा । समुत्ससर्ज तं॑ गर्भ मेरौ गिरिवरे तदा,देवताओं तथा अग्निके मना करनेपर भी सरिताओंमें श्रेष्ठ गंगाने उस गर्भको गिरिराज मेरुके शिखरपर छोड़ दिया
sā valvinā vāryamāṇā devair api saridvarā | samutsasarja taṁ garbhaṁ merau girivare tadā ||
தேவர்களும் வல்வியும் தடுத்தபோதிலும், நதிகளில் சிறந்த கங்கை அந்தக் கருவை விடுத்து, அந்நேரம் மலைமன்னன் மேருவின் மீது அதை வைத்தாள்.
