Adhyāya 57: Tapas–Dāna Phala
On the Fruits of Austerity and Giving
कुशवल्मीकभूयिष्ठं बभूव च यथा पुरा । ततः स राजा कुशिक: सभार्यस्तेन कर्मणा
kuśa-valmīka-bhūyiṣṭhaṃ babhūva ca yathā purā | tataḥ sa rājā kuśikaḥ sa-bhāryas tena karmaṇā |
அந்த இடம் முன்புபோலவே மீண்டும் குசப்புல்லும் எறும்புப் புற்றுகளும் நிறைந்து அடர்ந்தது. அவள் செய்த செயலின் அதிசயப் பலனைப் பார்த்து, அரசன் குசிகன் அரசியுடன் சேர்ந்து பேர்வியப்பில் ஆழ்ந்தான்.
