On Those Worthy of Honor and Salutation
अन््यं वरं वृणीष्व त्वं दुर्लभो5यं हि ते वर: । अत: जिनका मन अपने वशमें नहीं है
śakra uvāca | anyaṃ varaṃ vṛṇīṣva tvaṃ durlabho ’yaṃ hi te varaḥ |
சக்ரன் கூறினான்—நீ வேறு வரம் கேள்; நீ நாடும் இந்த வரம் உனக்குப் பெறுதற்கரியது. ஆகவே மனம் தம் கட்டுப்பாட்டில் இல்லாதவர்களுக்கு பிராமணத்துவம் முற்றிலும் எட்டாதது; அந்தப் பிடிவாதத்தை விட்டுவிட்டு வேறு வரம் வேண்டு.
