मदस्यास्यमनुप्राप्ता यदा सेन्द्रा दिवौकस: । तदैव च्यवनेनेह हृता तेषां वसुन्धरा
Transliteration
madasyāsyam anuprāptā yadā sendrā divaukasaḥ | tadaiva cyavaneneha hṛtā teṣāṃ vasundharā ||
Translation
இந்திரனுடன் கூடிய எல்லா தேவர்களும் ‘மதம்’ (அகந்தை/மயக்கம்) எனும் ஒன்றின் வாயில் விழுந்தபோது, அதே நேரத்தில் இங்கே ச்யவன முனிவர் அவர்களுடைய பூமியிலான ஆட்சியுரிமையைப் பறித்தார்.
