गिरिपृष्ठेषु रम्येषु व्याहरन्तो जनप्रिया: । वहाँके रमणीय पर्वतशिखरोंपर लोगोंको प्रिय लगनेवाली बोली बोलते हुए पक्षी प्रसन्नतासे युक्त हो नाचते और कलरव करते थे

Transliteration

giripṛṣṭheṣu ramyeṣu vyāharanto janapriyāḥ |

Translation

நாரதர் கூறினார்—அங்குள்ள அழகிய மலைச் சிகரங்களில், மக்களுக்கு இனிய ஒலியுடன் கூவிய பறவைகள் மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் ஆடி, களிப்பான கலரவம் செய்தன.
