त्रयाणामपि पिण्डानां श्रुत्वा भगवतो गतिम्
trayāṇām api piṇḍānāṃ śrutvā bhagavato gatim | śrāddhasya rahasyaṃ jñātaṃ; devadūta! tvayā yat śrāddhavidher nirṇayaḥ pṛṣṭaḥ, tadanusāreṇa trayāṇām api piṇḍānāṃ gatiḥ kathyate | sāvadhānaḥ śṛṇu me ||
பகவான் விஷ்ணுவிடமிருந்து மூன்று பிண்டங்களின் கதியை கேட்டவுடன், அவன் ஸ்ராத்தத்தின் மறைபொருளை அறிந்தான். ஓ தேவதூதா! நீ கேட்ட ஸ்ராத்த விதியின் தீர்மானத்தின்படி, இப்போது மூன்று பிண்டங்களின் பயன் விளக்கப்படுகிறது. கவனத்துடன் என்னைக் கேள்.
