Āloka-dāna (Dīpa-dāna), Sumanas–Dhūpa–Dīpa Phala: Manu–Suvarṇa and Śukra–Bali Exempla
द्विविधो हि स्मृतो गन्ध इष्टोडनिष्ट श्व पुष्पज: । इष्टगन्धानि देवानां पुष्पाणीति विभावय
dvividho hi smṛto gandha iṣṭo 'niṣṭaś ca puṣpajaḥ | iṣṭagandhāni devānāṁ puṣpāṇīti vibhāvaya ||
சுக்ரர் கூறினார்—மலர்களிலிருந்து எழும் மணம் இருவகை எனக் கருதப்படுகிறது: இஷ்டம் (இனியது) மற்றும் அனிஷ்டம் (இனியதல்லது). இதை நன்கு உணர்க: இனிய மணமுடைய மலர்கள் தேவர்களுக்கு பிரியமானவை.
