Duḥṣantasya Vana-praveśaḥ
King Duḥṣanta’s Entry into the Forest Hunt
tathaiva sahadevāc ca śrutasenaḥ pratāpavān | hiḍimbāyāṃ ca bhīmena vane jajñe ghaṭotkacaḥ ||

The verse underscores the dharmic weight of lineage: births are not merely biological events but the emergence of future agents of duty. Even when a union occurs outside conventional royal settings (in the forest, with Hiḍimbā), the resulting child is still situated within a moral order of responsibility and consequence.
Daśa continues a genealogical account of the Pāṇḍavas’ offspring, stating that Sahadeva’s son is Śrutasena and that Bhīma, while in the forest, fathered Ghaṭotkaca through Hiḍimbā.
