तुतोष तस्य नृपते मुनेरमिततेजस: । उवाच चैन प्रीतात्मा किमिष्टं करवाणि ते
tutoṣa tasya nṛpate muner amitatejasaḥ | uvāca cainaṃ prītātmā kim iṣṭaṃ karavāṇi te ||
வைசம்பாயனர் கூறினார்—அரசே! அந்த அளவற்ற தேஜஸுடைய முனிவரின் புகழ்ச்சியால் அக்னிதேவன் மிகுந்த திருப்தி அடைந்தான். மகிழ்ந்த மனத்துடன் அவனை நோக்கி—“உமது எந்த விருப்பத்தை நான் நிறைவேற்ற வேண்டும்?” என்று கூறினான்.
