देवसत्रे मृत्युनिरोधः, पूर्वेन्द्राणां मानुषावतरणम्, द्रौपदी-वरकथनम्

अर्जुनेन प्रयुक्तांस्तान् बाणान् वेगवतस्तदा । प्रतिहत्य ननादोच्चै: सैन्यानि तदपूजयन्
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: Arjunena prayuktāṁs tān bāṇān vegavatas tadā pratihatya nanādoccaiḥ; sainyāni tad apūjayan.
அப்போது அர்ஜுனன் எய்த அந்த வேகமிகு அம்புகளைத் தடுத்து வெட்டி வீழ்த்திய கர்ணன் உரத்த சிங்கநாதம் செய்தான்; படைகள் அனைத்தும் அவன் செய்த அந்த அற்புதச் செயலைப் புகழ்ந்தன।
