Yudhiṣṭhira uvāca: paraṁ bho gamiṣyāmo draṣṭuṁ caiva mahotsavam | bhavadbhiḥ sahitāḥ sarve kanyāyās taṁ svayaṁvaram ||
The verse highlights dharmic conduct through respectful speech and collective decision-making: Yudhiṣṭhira commits to attend a public rite (svayaṃvara) with proper companionship and decorum, emphasizing courtesy, social propriety, and measured intent.
Yudhiṣṭhira tells the addressed brāhmaṇa that he and all his companions will go along to see the grand festival—the princess’s svayaṃvara—signaling the group’s movement toward the event central to the unfolding alliance and destiny of the protagonists.
