अज्जलि: शपथ: सान्त्वं शिरसा पादवन्दनम्‌ | आशाकरणमित्येवं कर्तव्यं भूतिमिच्छता

añjaliḥ śapathaḥ sāntvaṁ śirasā pādavandanam | āśākaraṇam ity evaṁ kartavyaṁ bhūtim icchatā ||

கணிகன் கூறினான்—செழிப்பு மற்றும் அரச வெற்றியை நாடுபவன், தருணம் பார்த்து கைகூப்ப வேண்டும்; சத்தியம் செய்ய வேண்டும்; ஆறுதல் தரும் உறுதிமொழி வழங்க வேண்டும்; பிறரின் பாதங்களில் தலை வைத்து வணங்க வேண்டும்; நம்பிக்கையைத் தூண்டும் வகையில் பேச வேண்டும்—இவையே அவன் செய்ய வேண்டிய வழிமுறைகள்।
