भीमस्य जलान्वेषणं तथा वनविश्रान्तिः

Bhīma’s Search for Water and the Forest Halt

(न दिशो नान्तरिक्षं च तदा नैव च मेदिनी । अदृश्यत महाराज तत्र किंचन संयुगे ।।

vaiśampāyana uvāca |

na diśo nāntarikṣaṃ ca tadā naiva ca medinī |

adṛśyata mahārāja tatra kiṃcana saṃyuge ||

bāṇāndhakāre balinā kṛte gāṇḍīvadhanvanā ||

மகாராஜா! அந்தப் போரில் அப்போது திசைகளும் தெரியவில்லை; ஆகாயமும் தெரியவில்லை; பூமியும் கூட—எதுவும் தெளிவாகப் புலப்படவில்லை. வலிமைமிக்க காந்தீவம் தாங்கிய அர்ஜுனன் தன் அம்புகளால் ஒரு கடும் இருளை பரப்பியதுபோல் இருந்தது.
