ततो विततथन््वानं द्रोणस्तं कुरुनन्दनम् । स मुहूर्तादुवाचेदं वचन भरतर्षभ,भरतश्रेष्ठ] तब धनुष तानकर खड़े हुए कुरुनन्दन युधिष्ठिरसे दो घड़ी बाद आचार्य द्रोणने इस प्रकार कहा--
tato vitatadhanvānaṃ droṇas taṃ kurunandanam | sa muhūrtād uvācedaṃ vacanaṃ bharatarṣabha ||
பின்னர் முழுமையாக வில் இழுத்து நின்ற குருநந்தனனைப் பார்த்த துரோணர், சிறிது நேரத்திற்குப் பின், ‘பரதர்களில் சிறந்தவனே’ என்று இவ்வாறு கூறினார்।
