Sanskrit (Devanagari)

अध्यापकविघ्नशमनम्। ऋचं साम यजामहे याभ्यां कर्माणि कुर्वते । एते सदसि राजतो यज्ञं देवेषु यच्छतः

IAST Transliteration

adhyāpaka-vighna-śamanam | ṛ́caṃ sā́ma yajāmahe yā́bhyāṃ kármāṇi kurváte | eté sádasi rājato yajñáṃ devéṣu yacchataḥ ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

We worship the Ṛc and the Sāman, by which twain men perform their rites. These two shine in the session; they guide the sacrifice unto the Gods.

Translation

நாம் Ṛc (ரிக்) மற்றும் Sāman (சாமன்) ஆகிய இரண்டையும் யஜனம் செய்கிறோம்; அவற்றால் மனிதர் தம் கர்மங்கள்/அனுஷ்டானங்களை நிறைவேற்றுகின்றனர். இவ்விரண்டும் சபை (சதஸ்) யில் ஒளிர்கின்றன; யாகத்தை தேவர்களிடம் சேர்க்கின்றன.
