छन्दांसि यज्ञे मरुतः स्वाहा मातेव पुत्रं पिपृतेह युक्ताः

IAST Transliteration

chándāṃsi yajñé marútaḥ svā́hā mātéva putráṃ pipṛtehá yuktā́ḥ

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

The meters in the sacrifice—O Maruts—Svāhā—like a mother her son, fill (and foster) here, yoked for the work.

Translation

யாகத்தில் சந்தஸ்கள்—ஓ மருத்களே—“ஸ்வாஹா”—தாய் தன் மகனைப் போல, இங்கே (இவற்றை) நிறைவாக்கி வளர்த்தருளுங்கள்; செயலுக்காக யோகமடைந்து.
