Sukta 23
हतो येवाषः क्रिमीणां हतो नदनिमोत। सर्वान् नि मष्मषाकरं दृषदा खल्वाँ इव
ható yévāṣaḥ krimī́ṇāṃ ható nadaním úta | sárvān ní maṣmaṣā́karaṃ dṛṣádā́ khalvā́ṃ iva ||
Slain is the yevāṣa among the worms, slain too the nadanī; all of them I grind down to a mash, as with a mill-stone in the mortar.
கிருமிகளில் யேவாஷ கொல்லப்பட்டது; நதனீயும் கொல்லப்பட்டது. அவை அனைத்தையும் நான் அரைத்து மசியச் செய்கிறேன்—உரலில் ‘த்ருஷத்’ (அரைக்கும் கல்) கொண்டு அரைப்பதுபோல்.
