त्वं तमिन्द्र पर्वतं महामुरुं वज्रेण वज्रिन् पर्वशश्चकर्तिथ । अवासृजो निवृताः सर्तवा अपः सत्रा विश्वं दधिषे केवलं सहः
tváṃ tám indra párvataṃ mahā́murúṃ vájreṇa vajrin párvaśaś cakartitha | ávā́sṛjo nívṛtāḥ sártavā́ ápaḥ satrā́ víśvaṃ dadhíṣe kévalaṃ sáhaḥ
Thou, Indra, that great broad mountain—O Bolt-bearer—didst with the thunderbolt hew joint from joint. Thou didst let loose the waters, pent and hindered, to run forth; and wholly thou upholdest all with force, with sheer unmingled might.
இந்திரனே! வஜ்ரம் தாங்கியவனே, நீ அந்த மாபெரும், அகன்ற மலையை வஜ்ரத்தால் மூட்டு மூட்டாகப் பிளந்தாய். அடக்கப்பட்டு தடுக்கப்பட்ட நீர்களை ஓட வெளிவிடினாய்; மேலும் நீ உன் தூய, கலப்பற்ற ஒரே வலிமையால் அனைத்துலகையும் முழுமையாகத் தாங்குகிறாய்.
