इन्द्र ओषधीरसनोदहानि वनस्पतीँरसनोदन्तरिक्षम्। बिभेद बलं नुनुदे विवाचोऽथाभवद् दमिताभिक्रतूनाम्
índra óṣadhīr asanod áhāni vánaspatīṃr asanod antárikṣam | bibhéda bálaṃ nunudé vívācó 'thā́bhavad damitā́bhíkratūnām ||
Indra won the herbs, he won the days; he won the forest-lords, he won the mid-air. He clave the hostile power, he drave away contentious voices; then became he the tamer of opposing counsels.
இன்றன் ஓஷதி (மருந்துச் செடிகள்) பெற்றான்; நாட்களையும் (கால ஒழுங்கையும்) வென்றான்; வனஸ்பதிகளை (காட்டின் அதிபதிகள்/மரங்கள்) வென்றான்; அந்தரிக்ஷத்தையும் வென்றான். பகைவர் பலத்தைப் பிளந்தான்; சண்டையூட்டும் பேச்சுகளைத் துரத்தினான்; அப்பொழுது எதிர்மறை க்ரது/ஆலோசனைகளை அடக்கும் தமிப்பவனானான்.
