त्वं ह त्यत्सप्तभ्यो जायमानोऽशत्रुभ्यो अभवः शत्रुरिन्द्र । गूल्हे द्यावापृथिवी अन्वविन्दो विभुमद्भ्यो भुवनेभ्यो रणं धाः

IAST Transliteration

tváṁ ha tyát saptábhyo jā́yamāno ’śatrúbhyo abhavaḥ śátrur indra | gūḷhé dyā́vā-pṛthivī́ ánv-avindo vibhúmadbhyo bhúvanebhyo ráṇaṁ dhāḥ ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Thou, even from thy birth for the Seven, wast foe to foes and friend to the unhostile, O Indra. Hidden, Heaven and Earth thou didst track and find; from the wide worlds thou didst set battle in place.

Translation

இந்திரனே! பிறப்பிலிருந்தே ‘ஸப்த’ (ஏழு) க்காக நீ பகைவர்க்குப் பகை, பகையில்லாதோர்க்கு நண்பன் ஆனாய். மறைந்திருந்த த்யாவா-ப்ருதிவீயைத் தொடர்ந்து தேடி கண்டாய்; விரிந்த உலகங்களிலிருந்து ரணத்தை (போரைக்) நிறுவினாய்.
