अस्तावि मन्म पूर्व्यं ब्रह्मेन्द्राय वोचत । पूर्वीरृतस्य बृहतीरनूषत स्तोतुर्मेघा असृक्षत
ástāvi mánma pū́rvyaṃ bráhméndrāya vocata | pū́vīr ṛtásya bṛhatī́r anūṣata stotúr meghā́ asṛkṣata
The ancient thought is lauded; the holy spell for Indra is uttered. The many lofty strains of Order have sounded forth: the singer’s clouds have been loosed abroad.
பழம்பெரும் மனனம் போற்றப்பட்டது; இந்திரனுக்காகப் புனிதமான பிரஹ்ம-மந்திரம் உச்சரிக்கப்பட்டது. ருத (ஒழுங்கு/தர்ம-நியதி) பற்றிய பல உயர்ந்த ஸ்துதிகள் ஒலித்தன; ஸ்தோத்திரகரின் மேகங்கள் போலப் பிணை அவிழ்ந்து பரவின.
