नकी रेवन्तं सख्याय विन्दसे पीयन्ति ते सुराश्वः । यदा कृणोषि नदनुं समूहस्यादित् पितेव हूयसे

IAST Transliteration

nakí révantaṁ sakhyā́ya vindase píyanti te surā́śvaḥ | yadā́ kṛṇóṣi nadanúṁ samū́hasy ā́dit pitā́va hū́yase

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

No man at all wins thee, the wealthy one, for fellowship: thy good-steeded followers drink their draught. When thou makest the roaring onset, when thou musterest them together, then verily, like a father, thou art called upon.

Translation

எவரும், செல்வமிக்கவனே, நட்பிற்காக உன்னைப் பெற முடியாது; நல்ல குதிரைகள் உடைய உன் பின்தொடர்வோர் தங்கள் பானத்தை அருந்துகின்றனர். நீ கர்ஜனையுடன் தாக்குதலை நிகழ்த்தும் போது, அவர்களை ஒன்றுசேர்த்து அணிவகுக்கும் போது, அப்பொழுது உண்மையிலே தந்தைபோல் நீ அழைக்கப்படுகிறாய்.
