अर्भको न कुमारकोऽधि तिष्ठन्नवं रथम्। स पक्षन्महिषं मृगं पित्रे मात्रे विभुक्रतुम्
arbhakó ná kumārakó ’dhí tiṣṭhann aváṃ rathám | sá pakṣan mahiṣáṃ mṛgáṃ pitré mātré vibhúkratúm
Like a mere child, like a young boy, standing upon the swift chariot, he tore at the buffalo, the wild beast, for father and for mother—he of far-reaching might of will.
ஒரு சிறு குழந்தையைப் போல, ஒரு இளைய குமாரனைப் போல, வேகமான ரதத்தின் மேல் நின்று அவன்—தந்தைக்கும் தாய்க்கும்—எருமை, அந்தக் காட்டுமிருகத்தைப் பிளந்து வீழ்த்தினான்; அவனுடைய ‘க்ரது’ (உறுதியான சங்கல்ப-வலிமை) தூரம்வரை விரியும்.
