Sukta 2
मा नो रुद्र तक्मना मा विषेण मा नः सं स्रा दिव्येनाग्निना । अन्यत्रास्मद् विद्युतं पातयैताम्
mā nó rudra takmánā mā viṣéṇa mā naḥ sáṃ srā divyénāgnínā | anyátrā́smád vidyútam pātayaitā́m
Smite us not, O Rudra, with Fever; smite us not with Poison; consume us not with the heavenly Fire. Hurl thou this lightning elsewhere, away from us.
ஓ ருத்ரா, தக்ஷ்மா (ஜ்வரம்) கொண்டு எங்களைத் தாக்காதே; விஷத்தால் எங்களைத் தாக்காதே; தெய்வீக அக்னியால் எங்களைச் சுடாதே. இந்த வித்யுத் (மின்னல்) எங்களிடமிருந்து விலகி, வேறிடத்தில் விழச் செய்.
