तुभ्यमारण्याः पशवो मृगा वने हिता हंसाः सुपर्णाः शकुना वयांसि । तव यक्षं पशुपते अप्स्व१न्तस्तुभ्यं क्षरन्ति दिव्या आपो वृधे
túbhyam araṇyā́ḥ paśávo mṛgā́ váne hitā́ haṃsā́ḥ supárṇāḥ śakunā́ vayā́ṃsi | táva yákṣaṃ paśupate apsv àntás túbhyaṃ kṣáranti divyā́ ā́po vṛ́dhe
To thee belong the forest’s beasts, the wild game set in the wood; the geese, the fair-winged, the birds, the fliers. Thy wondrous power, O Lord of beasts, within the waters—unto thee the heavenly Waters flow, for thine increase.
ஓ பசுபதே! காடின் மிருகங்கள், வனத்தில் வைக்கப்பட்ட வேட்டையாடும் மிருகங்கள்; ஹம்ஸங்கள், சுபர்ணர்கள், பறவைகள், பறக்கும் உயிர்கள்—இவை அனைத்தும் உமக்கே உரியது. ஓ பசுபதே! நீரினுள் உள்ள உமது யக்ஷம் (அற்புத வல்லமை)—உமது வளர்ச்சிக்காக திவ்ய ஆபः (வான்நீர்) உமக்கு நோக்கி வழிகின்றன.
