देवस्य सवितुर्भाग स्थ। अपां शुक्रमापो देवीर्वर्चो अस्मासु धत्त । प्रजापतेर्वो धाम्नास्मै लोकाय सादये
devásya savitúr bhāgá sthá | apā́ṃ śukrám ā́po devī́r várcó asmā́su dhatta | prajā́pater vo dhā́mnā́smái lokā́ya sādaye
Ye are the portion of the god Savitṛ. O Waters, bright of essence, goddesses, set splendour within us. By Prajāpati’s ordinance—by your established might—I seat him firmly in this world.
நீங்கள் தேவன் சவித்ரின் பங்கு. ஹே ஆபः (நீர்), தூய ஒளிச்சாரமுடைய தேவியரே, எங்களுள் வர்ச்சஸ் பதியச் செய்யுங்கள். பிரஜாபதியின் தாம்னா மூலம்—இந்த லோகத்தில்—இவனை உறுதியாக அமர்த்துகிறேன்.
